Project synopsis

This project investigated the trade-off between control overhead and efficient routing in dynamic wireless networks. The basic theme was to fully account for the protocol/control overhead required to route over an unknown wireless network. The amount of control overhead is particularly critical in dynamic wireless networks. This work resulted in demonstrating the suitability of wireless networks (modeled as variants of geometric random graphs) to hierarchical routing. This was part of a larger project whose details can be found here.
